Pharyngeal teeth are extremely common among teleosts, what's fascinating about the morays is how mobile they are. Carp don't have much in the way of teeth at the front of the mouth, but crush their food with teeth in the back of the throat.

Most modern tetrapods are actually fairly unusual in having teeth only on the edges of the jaw. Looking at the prehistoric amphibians they had double rows of teeth, big palatal fangs sticking down from the roof of the mouth, all sorts of things.
