True. But a cassowary has got to be the most terrifying living bird. When I was being trained to work with them, the guy who taught me handed me a large push broom and told me "This is all we can give you to defend yourself. Godspeed, and may you return with your limbs intact." >.
Apparently they didn't even taste good anyway. But they didn't run away when you walked up to them. I don't get how people's first instinct is to kill them. Bah.
I don't live in scarybird country; i've just seen a few scarybirds being scary. I live in a country where the most dangerous beasts are all in business or politics, and most of the wildlife is friendly by comparison. Yay.
