So I work in the bird area of a zoo during the summer and I learned a surprising fact that I don't think I've seen here.
There is a WORLDWIDE shortage of mealworms because they aren't breeding, at least that's what everyone is assuming. At the zoo we are not allowed to recieve shipments and cannot feed out any that we already had. I think the same is happening for waxworms but not as dire because we feed out some to the sick peacock.
I don't have anything else on this, like a story or something so if anyone finds anything else out that would be cool.
