this is a house centipede. maybe it's not so wtf to people who are used to them? I live in Florida, which is home to some terrifying bugs, but even I was terrified of this. it looks like a mega-ultra-spider. they love Florida so I'm curious as to why I've only recently heard of them...I'm halfway afraid my apartment is filled with them and I just don't know.
fun facts!
- In a laboratory experiment of 24 house centipedes, an average of 63 and a maximum of 151 eggs were laid
- in japan, apparently they are sold as pets
- it can live its entire life inside. wikipedia says it has "frightening speed" and a "painful bite"
possibly fake
I think this is a megamouth shark:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megamouth_shark goliath bird eating spider. I totally want to throw it on someone's face while they sleep...it's the perfect size.
