Bot Fly
I went to Belize last year and upon my arrival home the mosquito bite on my head would not go away. In fact it grew. After 3 weeks and a lot of pain coming from this bite I asked my husband to take a look. We didn't have heath insurance at the time. My husband diagnosed it as a bot fly, and he knew how to remove it.
So he did. It took over 2 hours and was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life.
Unfortunately my husband did not take photographs or video of the ordeal, but I found a youtube video of someone who did.
