They look so HAPPY. At least they probably don't usually kill their victims, seeing as the chunks they bite aren't huge and life threatening for large creatures.
They do look like they are smiling. And you're right. They are really small and couldn't kill a whale. I wonder if the whales and such can even feel the bites? They have such thick skin and fat ... Couldn't be very painful to them, could it?

I can fill you in some more on the glowing in the dark thing! Basically all of their underside glows green to match the day lit surface, except for a small patch, deceiving smaller predatory fish into trying to take a bite and hence luring them into a frenzy of small, perfectly circular, bitey death! They also like to attack the sonar domes of submarines!
creepy! their teeth are so perfectly uniform and cute, though, unlike a sharks or something. and when I was skimming through I thought it was 'cockcutter', and it is kind of a convenient shape for that.
