It just boggles me that the chicks aren't putting up a fight. I wonder if maybe the Albatross will perhaps slightly alter its nesting habits to help the survival rate of their offspring.

Birds who are threesomes in other species of birds do MUCH better in raising young than couples do.

They're not putting up a fight as it's not tuned into their instict because the mice shouldn't be there :V

Give it a long while and evolution should help, providing they don't all just die.

I don't understand why the chicks don't eat the little bastards, those beaks are sharp. I suppose they'll evolve to do so, 2nd worst case.

I would be afraid of any pathogens the mice might be carrying. A chick's immune system is probably not built to handle some of the grossness. :(
