Goodbye. massive_millie June 10 2007, 18:21:11 UTC
With the snap of a house-elf's fingers, Millicent's trunks rose into the air and began floating toward the door.

"Take care not to let those drag along the walls, or I'll have your hide," she warned. The house-elf nodded, cowering from the room with a careful eye on her precious luggage.

Left alone, and with no packing to distract her from the strange ache in her chest, Millicent sat down on her four-poster for what she realized would be the last time. She couldn't help but reminisce as she looked around the bare room.
Here she listened to Pansy's gossip. Plotted the ruin of many a Gryffindor with Draco. Mixed illegal potions as Snape indulgently turned a blind eye. This was the site of countless cuddle sessions with Blaise. This was where she'd discovered Gregory's feelings for her.

Gregory.

Her eyes fell to the emerald ring on her left hand. She knew it was sort of ridiculous to wear it now. It wasn't that she considered them married, exactly. But however a volatile and sometimes explosive combination they made, there was no escaping it - they were meant for each other. It wasn't that sickly idealistic fairy tale Hufflepuff brand of fate, though. Millicent cringed at the thought. No, they simply made too much sense together, and too little apart. They belonged together the way the sun belongs in the sky. The way fish belong in water. The way Ravenclaws belong in a psych ward.

She rose from the bed, collecting Noodle and Carina's cages from the corner on her way toward the door. There she turned for a last, sad look. Snapping herself out of it, she shook her head and chuckled. "Get hold of yourself," she mumbled aloud. "It's bloody Hogwarts. We'll be well shot of this dump."

Bigger and better things, she told herself, closing the door behind her.

(OOC): I realized after I finished this that it didn't make sense, as the Slytherins vacated the dungeons due to the river of Giant-Squid jizz. I would re-write it if it hadn't been so hard to get through in the first place. As it is, I'm sick and dizzy at the moment so I hope you'll forgive me for the mistake, and the general awfulness of this.

It's very hard to say goodbye to Millicent and wtf_drarry. I've had a blast here, and I'll never forget it.

To my fellow wtf-ers: I love you all, and I hope we get to do something fun together again. Don't be a stranger. ♥♥♥

To the watchers: Thank you for sharing this with us. I hope you had half as much fun watching as we did playing.
