Last week I spent in Pre-Service training for AmeriCorps. This week, I've started working with the program I signed on with (HealthCare for the Homeless, HCH). It's rather interesting so far.
One of the purposes of this post, is to find out the interest level in volunteer opportunities. If I hear of opportunities, would anyone here be interested in volunteering?
And having asked that, here's an announcement: Street Art will be running from November 12th to 16th. This is an art show consisting of art by homeless and formerly homeless artists. It's part of homelessness awareness week. It looks like it could be interesting. There's a Jazz band playing on opening night.
