So, working on the same idea as the one behind
stone soup I asked of my refrigerator what it could give starting with some Progresso tomato basil soup. My refrigerator volunteered some kielbasa which I thanked it for. The carrots, feeling brave, stated "I will give my tastiness for your stew." The celery, feeling kinship to the carrots, also volunteered. The last parts of an onion and bell pepper said "We're almost gone anyway, why don't you use us?" Several spices volunteered, "We could add more flavor." So, the chili poweder, garlic powder, pepper, and the crushed red pepper jumped into the mix. The rice called up from the cabinet, "Hey don't leave us out and they jumped into another pot."
Thirty minutes later it smelled pretty tasty...
Update: ... and it was pretty tasty, too.
