Any of you care about the hullabaloo surrounding Paris Hilton these days? Why? How boring is your life that you're willing to live vicariously through someone else? Who are you? Did you even read my article? Why do you assume that it was "injustice" when Paris was released from jail? Because she is a celebrity, it must be injustice, right? She must be getting special treatment. How long do you think other people in Los Angeles county are spending in jail for the offense she committed? As long as she was sentenced to? Longer? How about LESS TIME? I heard some information from several defense attorneys to the effect that because of overcrowding in Los Angeles county, and because of the non-violent nature of the type of crime that Paris committed, that most people convicted as she was don't spend any time in jail at all! If they do, it is often 1-3 days at most. If that is true then maybe Paris IS getting special treatment, just not the kind that we at first thought.

The point really is though, that we don't really know what the hell is going on in that particular case or how it compares to other similar cases. We can't really decide how fair it is from where we stand. All we know is all the frantic pictures we see on TV taken by crazed and delirious cameramen chasing police cars, and the ignorant commentary and speculation from the bimbo drama-queen ex-Ms. America-wanna-be reporters that we see on TV who are practically frothing at the mouth over the whole situation. Is that information that you want to rely on?
