Saving fanfics in your hard drive

I've only been into two other fandoms before SS/HG. I've learned that some fics are worth reading more than once, and I prefer a copy in my computer just in case the website/webpage disappears. A while back I found this free add-on for the Mozilla Firefox browser called Scrapbook.

You can save webpages on your hard drive without worrying about the layout being altered, the webpages will look exactly as it does online. Here's a visual How-To, and on the same site you can find the download link.

You can easily access the page via a window pane, similar to the History pane, and there is also a search feature. The only thing I don't like is that there is no security/password protect feature, which might be a bother for people who share their computers.
