a special kind of hell...the hell of a deep fried twinkie

Because I have ALL kinds of time on my hands, I'm playing.

[Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.]

leigh57 gave me: TV Commercials, bowling, soda, Titanic (the movie), leopards, singing, jeans.

So here we go:

TV Commercials: I find them intensely annoying.  There are only a few I will admit to liking: the e*trade baby, the old Credit Report Dot Com guys, Flo and Mayhem.  That's it.  A few exceptions on Super Bowl Sunday, but that's about it.  And it's always the singing ones (circa: JG Wentworth) that get stuck in your head and they drive you bat shit crazy!

Bowling:  Eh.  I mean, I'll go and I'll start out really good.  But then my wrist gets tired and my toes hurt from the stupid shoes and my thumb keeps getting tweaked.  And I get tired of it.  I will, however, go for the cheap pitchers of beer.  Why is it that bowling alleys always have the cheapest beer?

Soda:  I love it.  All of it.  Maybe because it was forbidden when I was a kid.  I mean, we were forced to drink milk with pizza!  Who does that?!?  But my biggest memory of soda would have to be when I was about 7 or 8.  I had a school project due that I, predictably, procrastinated on.  I was up extremely late at my mom's computer and I was cranky becuase I was SO tired.  And my mom says to me, "Do you want a Coke?"  And I, being stubborn and indignant, said no.  That would have to be one of my biggest regrets.  Ever.

Titanic (Movie): Another one of those forbidden pleasures as a kid.  The first time I saw it (or parts of it anyway) was before it came out on video, when it was still in the theaters, and we were all up at my grandfather's house for Memorial Day weekend.  The kids weren't allowed to watch it, so we took turns sneaking around the corner watching little tid bits and give the rest of us synopsis.  Albeit, bad synopsis.  I eventually watched it later as a teenager, but I still think my sneak-watching was more fun.

Leopards:  Uh.  They're fast.  Like crazy fast.  And vicious.  With sharp, razor sharp teeth.  And claws.  I really don't know anything about them.  Someone send me the link to their Wikipedia site!!

Singing:  Oh, god!  I love it!  Well, I'm really bad at it, but I love singing in the car and when I'm alone in my house.  I don't really do the singing in the shower thing, but I'm that crazy looking person you see on the freeway.  I can't get enough of it.  It started as a kid.  I'm pretty sure there is blackmail-worthy video of my cousin and I belting out Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees on the ledge above my grandfather's pool.  We were as choreographed as we could possible be with an impromptu show after all day swimming.  I can remember we both went down on one knee at the end of an N*Sync song and pointed.  Totally didn't plan that.  It was awesome!

Jeans:  I miss them.  Like you miss your family when you go away is how I miss my jeans.  I was trying to help leigh57 find a good pair of jeans, but I couldn't remember (still can't, btw) the brand name.  It's depressing.  I spend a lot on jeans.  I'm not ashamed to admit it.  There are few things in life that I will spend a lot of money on, jeans is one of them.  They last forever, if you pay for the good kind, and the more I wear them the better they fit!  I'm also one of the people that doesn't want my jeans until I absolutely have to.  They just fit better after 5 or so wears, you know?
