It was sometime in the evening, the summer sun slowly setting outside the window. Both naked but covered by sheets, Shura was sprawled next to Yukio, who was half-draped over her in a manner that was almost lazy.
"It's hoooooooooooooot," Shura whined, pushing him away.
"Shura-san-"
"Will ya quit with the honorifics? We're the same rank now, jeez."
"Of course." Yukio nodded, attempting to make himself more comfortable. Shura settled down to sleep, while he continued to shift about. First he flopped to his left, then to the right and under the covers more. After that he kicked the covers more off of himself, and then rolled over onto his stomach. He rolled over again onto his back and was about to pull the covers up more when Shura cracked an eye open irritably, smacking at his arm. "Quit moving so much."
"Sorry. I can't seem to get comfortable..."
The redhead heaved a long-suffering sigh, before reaching over and pulling him close. Yukio tensed for a moment before relaxing, burying his face in the crook of her neck. "There. I'm gonna overheat now, ya know."
He chuckled softly, eyes already closing. "Thanks."
The pair quickly fell asleep, blissfully unaware of their surroundings until nearly an hour later, when Rin literally kicked down the door.
"Oi, Yukio! The Paladin exam is in two weeks, I need your no- AHHH!" Rin shrieked and threw his hands up in front of his face, bright red. "Learn to lock the door, I don't need to see that!"
"Shaddup!" Shura grabbed the nearest object- it happened to be a hardcover book- and whipped it at Rin's head. The young man barely dodged, shivering for a brief moment when the book lodged itself in the wall where his head had been. "It was locked, ya just burst in anyways!"
"I did not! I-"
"Nii-san. Shura." Yukio, having grabbed his glasses during the commotion, was now giving them both a look of cool-headed contempt. "Please stop bickering."
Rin held up his arms defensively. "It's not my fault! I just needed your notes-!"
"Ya should be taking your own notes, ya damn idiot-" Shura was already pulling on her clothes under the sheets, ready to give Rin the noogie of a lifetime.
"Enough with the idiots already; I'm twenty two years old!!"
"I'll stop calling you an idiot when you stop acting like one, ya-"
"Enough!" Yukio shouted, startling them both into silence.
"Nii-san, leave. I'll get you the notes in a moment. Shura, please finish getting dressed and leave as well. I'll speak with you later. And both of you..." He closed his eyes, sighing quietly and pinching the bridge of his nose. When he spoke again it was with a sharp tone. "Don't get in a fight outside the door, damn it."
Rin grumbled something in reply and sulked out the door, leaving a laughing Shura to pull an indignant Yukio into a brief, passionate kiss before standing and sauntering out.
