THINGS have happened. This is good.
1)
WE'RE GETTING A DOG.
SERIOUSLY.
FINALLY.
NOT LIKE I'VE BEEN WAITING 21 YEARS FOR THIS AND MY PARENTS DECIDED TO GET ONE AFTER I LEFT HOME OR ANYTHING.
Basically this dog needed a new home and within a matter of hours we decided we wanted him and it was all cool. He's coming home on Thursday. There is the unfortunate point that I don't live at home anymore but I'm skating over that to return to the point of the DOG.
He's a jack russell terrier and 18 months old. He already has a name that he answers to so we can't name him - the thing is his name is Godfrey . . .
Oh well. My brother and my grandfather are already calling him Godders and I now have a legitimate excuse to yell stuff like "GOD! GET OUT OF THAT RABBIT HOLE RIGHT NOW!" - never thought that would happen.
He looks a bit like this but better because he has better markings, more dark spots and he's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. And funny. As my brother said, he's already a legend.
2) Frank Turner. Listen to this man - he is brilliant, honestly.
3) My best friend is back home for a couple of weeks during his year abroad thank god. I miss him.
4) Gossip Girl. I don't care if it's trashy I LOVE IT. Can't wait for a bit of Nate being happy and Chuck Bass in any situation.
A friend of mine saw Ed Westwick in a restaurant a bit a go, she went bright red and had to take a while to recover.
5) I spent a long weekend at home, helping my mum at work, hanging out with my dad and my brother - feel SO much better now I don't know why I didn't go home before if that's all it took!
5a) Related to this my mum was talking about Merlin this weekend and how she rather enjoyed it (despite noting that it was no Doctor Who...) We discussed Uther only eating with his gloves on (eliciting the response "Manners pianers Anthony!") and she said that she likes Arthur because he's always huffing about things or being silly. My momma has taste :) Also the fact that she started watching because Charles Dance popped up. Secretly I know she's been iplayering the hell out of the show, she can't fool me.
(Sorry, it's some kind of reflex...)
6) From now on I am going to work SO.HARD. Seriously. I am now officially sick of screwing up so I'm going to sort it out and do my work. Starting with going to the library before lectures tomorrow and starting research for my film project. It will happen.
