FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
So, I agreed to babysit for my mom's friend tomorrow. I don't exactly like kids, but I do like money, so I figured I might as well. My mom gets home and tells me that we have to leave the house by 8:30. This is ridiculous, because I never wake up that early. Plus, one of the children is sick. Their parents are stupidly strict. The kids can't make fart noises or watch Spongebob or anything. I'm very much not looking forward to this. I'm hoping they'll just want to sit in front of the tv and watch dvds all day so I can read.
I don't know the first thing about watching kids, either. And my mom told me it could be for as long as 12 hours. WTF. On the plus side, the lady said she was going to "make it worth my while." So I should be getting paid quite a bit.
I have a question for all you grammar nuts. When you put things in quotes that aren't quotes (like the "make it worth my while" thing), does that have a specific name? And how do you know when to start the quotes?
