Day 20 → A hobby of yours

Hm. Well, I love roleplaying. That's how I spend most of my time. I roleplay completely differently from the LJ roleplays. I've mentioned this before though, so I won't really worry about going into detail. I also enjoy making graphics, be it icons, blends, banners, etc. Fanmixes are fun too, though I take forever to make them. And I love writing, which I've also mentioned before. Other than that, reading is the only thing I spend a good amount of time doing.

Day 21 → A recipe

Nanaimo Bars.
I've never made these, but they were mentioned in Corner Gas (a great show that you should watch) and ever since then I've wanted some. I really should get around to actually making them sometime.

So, we went ahead and rebelled and celebrated Christmas today, rather than tomorrow. Actually, we celebrated most of Christmas at 12 AM xD
It was amazing. We've never had a traditional Christmas, with a tree and wrapped presents and everything. It was so exciting, and I got amazing gifts. I got: paperback copies of OoTP and HBP, a green/silver striped cardigan (Slytherin, anyone?), two sets of gloves, an adorable mug with Paris drawn on it in brown ink, lots of candy, a portable back massager that I can take in the car (I get the worst back pains during my period. TMI?), a Simpsons dvd, a queen sized beautiful blue micro plush blanket (so cozy and nice), pajamas, AND A 1 TB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE. My dad really racked up this year. He's been working two jobs for a while now, so my mom wanted to spoil him. We bought him a lot of practical stuff, like long johns and sweaters (he gets cold all the time), but we also went and bought him an XBOX 360 Elite bundle (his old one broke), a Wi-Fi adapter for it, and we're getting him a PS3 sometime soon. My mom got a new GPS (which she claims is a "work expense"), a fancy new phone cover, a vintage Scrabble set, a puzzle and a puzzle "stow n' go," a pomegranate martini set, a new water bottle and a new blue tooth.

And we got stockings for our two dogs and cat. Needless to say, everyone is pee-their-pants excited about it. Though my mom said we'll be eating Top Ramen and beans with rice all next month. Worth it.
