Great, thanks Amy. So needed. I really wish they wouldn't put them in near death situations if they're not going to 'go with' a typical reaction.

Panic, the ILY, the regret. We saw it a bit with Castle at the cemetery, but LP did its best to show Kate as a cold, clammy fish drowning in her car.

Character-wise, we know she's not. (empathetic, cares for victims) Why show her like this - okay, she's uptight and doesn't speak well about her feelings, but she's drowning, ffs

This is exquisite:

And his anger at the head bump. Love it.

I enjoyed this so much. We're so close to the end that a secret needs to come out and soon and I think this would have been the perfect time. There's something I love about post ep stories when you are familiar with parts but unfamiliar with others. Like it's a choose your own adventure book.

This is great. As much as I didn't expect Kate to come out with the reciprocal confession in the episode, the set up for it was perfect. There aren't too many situations they could get into where they could easily die but there's time for words first!

(And incidentally, I was kinda disappointed with the episode overall. Which doesn't often happen for me with this show.)

Yes, I never expect the show to carry things as far as fic can, but something should have been said/done in that scene. And I'm not disappointed with this show too often, either.

Something should have been done with that scene, or if not that then we/Kate should have got something more from Castle about his relationship (in whatever form) with Sophia. They did so much in the first part to set it up, then just... failed to follow through.
