“Ayame, no running in the house.” Kyouya called half-heartedly after his daughter.
The child stopped and smiled impishly at him. He wide grey eyes glinted mischievously behind her lenses as she tossed her blonde hair out of her face.
“Yes mommy.”
The door opened just then-cutting off Kyouya's ‘mommy rant’. The twins strode into the foyer, several immaculately wrapped presents in their arms. They looked around blankly before grinning.
“Oi, Kaoru, I can’t find Princess Ayame anywhere. Do you see her?” Hikaru placed his hand on his forehead and looked around again.
“No Hikaru, she must have left without her presents!” Kaoru said, gesturing to both the packages in their arms and the large pile of them in the corner.
Ayame stared at them in amazement-then began to jump up and down feverishly.
“I’m here Uncle Hikaru! I’m right here! Can’t you see me? Princess Aya is right here!” She shrieked, still bouncing.
Kyouya smirked as the twins looked at the girl in mock surprise.
“Princess Aya? You’ve gotten so big we barely recognized you.” They said in unison.
“What’s going on in here?” Tamaki asked, walking in from the kitchen.
He took one look at Ayame’s flushed face compared to the twins teasing ones and ran, wailing, to his daughter.
“Are those devilish twins teasing you, my beautiful daughter?! Do you want daddy to hurt them?! Mommy! The twins are teasing our cute daughter!” He sobbed, nuzzling the girl until she began to turn blue.
Kyouya finally stood then, one hand on his back, the other on his protruding stomach. He gently extracted Aya from Tamaki’s grip and sat her on the floor.
“Aya, I think Uncle Mori and Hunny are here, run outside and see.” He turned to the twins.
“Presents go on the pile and if any of those are as atrocious as the dresses you gave her last year then I may have to kill you.”
He then faced his husband.
“Stop trying to suffocate our daughter and stop calling me mommy!” He seethed, then turned and swept from the room.
At least he tried-at best he waddled.
“Hormones?” Hikaru breathed.
“Yes. Try not to mention anything that has to do with weight or swelling. Or the color green-he’s very adverse to it right now.”
The twins nodded obediently and saluted.
“Yes Milord!”
Tamaki rolled his eyes to the ceiling. It was going to be a long day.
