Title: I'd Lie
Pairing: Eli/Kevin
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It's the little things that mean the most.
A/N: These two just inspire me, what can I say? This is under 500 words so it's nothing much, but I was inspired. Title shamelessly stolen from the song by Taylor Swift, which inspired this drabble. Also I don't know if anyone reads these, but if you do, how would you feel about me posting things other than fics here? I have some fanart and maybe a fanmix or two on the way that I'd love to share.
"Alright guys, Operation Eli's Birthday is now in effect." Alexander announced to the U-Kiss members he had gathered that morning in his hotel room. Eli was sent out on a food errand (they were up too early to catch the breakfast buffet) and they took this golden opportunity to scheme behind his back.
"We'll need someone to distract him for the day," said Soohyun. "Kiseoppie, could you take him to the gym or out shopping or something?"
"Yep!" Kiseop replied, standing up straight and saluting.
"What about food? Cake?" Dongho questioned, quickly getting excited at the chance to sneak around and keep secrets. "What does he like?"
"Strawberry cake, vanilla frosting, lots of sprinkles," Kevin recited, ticking off the individual items on his fingers. "And don't give him too many candles, he's always afraid he'll accidently spit on the cake when blowing them out."
Kevin made a contemplative face, trying to remember if he forgot anything, and when realized that he hadn't, he nodded and smiled.
The other members stared at him incredulously for a few seconds before Kibum asked, "Obsessed, much?"
Kevin blushed softly, shaking his fringe to cover his eyes and responding quietly, "No, I just asked him so we could know…"
Alexander punched Kibum's shoulder and yelled, "Stop bullying him!", successfully taking the attention off of Kevin's now bright red face.
While the others got distracted with planning again, Kiseop nudged Kevin and smiled at him secretively. Kevin opened his mouth to say something, though he had no idea what, but was interrupted when Eli burst through the door with the bags of food. The members quickly dispersed and grabbed at the food like a pack of animals. Kevin watched Eli hand out food to everyone before being distracted by Kiseop nudging him again. This time, Kevin asked him, "What?"
"Oh, nothing," Kiseop replied airily, still giving him that secretive smile. "Well, not nothing. Something."
Kevin's brows furrowed in confusion as Kiseop skipped away to get his share of the food too. He watched the boy go, then turned his gaze back to Eli who he realized was talking to him.
"Get your ass over here and eat something, you need it more than the rest of us," Eli called, throwing a pair of chopsticks in the direction of Kevin's head, but purposely missing by a few inches. Kevin giggled and bent down to pick up the chopsticks, before walking over to where the others were. He threw the chopsticks back at Eli, bouncing them off the back of his head, before grabbing the only container of food left. Yes, Kevin thought. Something.
