We've spoken, livejournal. Your users have told you how we feel. I want to make it clear that no website exists without its userbase. Without us, the website does NOT exist. Do you realize this? You can have a shiny domain and sell ads, but if the advertisers realize that the users are leaving in droves, they're going to stop buying your ad space. If your users realize that you stop listening to us, we are going to stop buying paid time and ad ons.
You are slowly and surely destroying the very website that has been created.
Stop.
If you no longer wish to be a part of livejournal, sell it off to someone who will nurture it and take care of it like it used to be. Don't drive it into the ground because you are losing revenue.
If you are trying to improve this website, I give you kudos, but urge you to LISTEN TO YOUR USERS. We, as you can clearly see, are not shy when it comes to sharing our opinions, so before your force a change on us, ask us and then listen to our responses - all of our responses, not just those from one country or one group.
In addition, it's clear that we don't WANT TO BE tumblr and facebook. The majority of your users use those services too, but realize we also come back here for a different reason - because LJ is, rather should be, different from other places on the web. We don't want this to be Tumblr 2.0 or Facebook lite. We want this to be LIVE JOURNAL.
