Naminè’s pallid chambers always helped Demyx compose. Sometimes he would lounge on her floor and let his fingers dance for hours, using the pictures that Naminè churned out for inspiration.
Other evenings he’d talk to her as he played, entertaining the ghostly girl with his viewpoints and giving her long lectures on how he knew they had emotions. She’d listen intently, body swaying just enough to encourage Demyx to divulge some more.
When he spoke with her, Naminè liked to believe that was the only one to ever hear him act so serious. What was more, she thought his music was beautiful and that it had a meaning unique to itself. She thought he was special, and she’d help him soar when everyone else was wrenching his wings apart.
Gentle smiles and secret whispers reminded Demyx that his existence wasn’t hollow, and in exchange he would caress her with his finest songs. Naminè earned her own secret grouping of melodies, and whenever he entrusted his notes to her, Demyx would be passing along a piece of his soul- insisting that one day it would be enough to restore her heart.
