Cook's never been more conscious of Archie than he was right now.

After years of going back and forth between best friends and I-could-might-be-in-love-with-him, they'd finally crossed the last frontier, which was usually doomed to fail most of the time (Cook knew, though, he just knew that they weren't going to fall into that pattern of 'destroying their friendship).

He'd felt happy all day, there was no other way to describe it. It was like a wonderful fullness in his chest, threatening to suffocate his heart with fluff and joy, and nothing was able to bother him. He took in the teasing, I-told-you-so congratulations of their friends with good humor (and a lot of blushing on Archie's part). He didn't complain about the massive pile of homework given to them by their teachers for the weekend. It looked as if nothing could destroy his frighteningly good mood ( ... )

"Um, this is, you're being, are you jealous?" Archie asked in disbelief, because although he could be a little dense at times, he'd always been the best at reading Cook's moods. He sounded disapproving, but the way his flushed in degrees spoke otherwise. He shifted on his feet as Cook came closer, arms crossing and uncrossing, tongue wetting his lips repeatedly. "That's, Benton's just, like, he's a friend."

"I don't like that he touched you," Cook admitted tightly and placed his hands on Archie's narrow shoulders, holding on tight. Archie tipped his head back, helpless and fuck, melting in Cook's hold. "I've never had a problem with that before, but now I do. I don't fucking like it."

Archie's eyes darkened, a little in anger and a lot with heat. "Oh my gosh, that's just, why, why are you saying this?"

Cook boldly reached down, cupping Archie through his jeans, hearing the little gasp. "Because you're mine, Archie, and I don't share. You know that ( ... )
