how would you define rejection? is it lonely? a darkened room a moonlit floor blanketing the very place you stand? no one there but yourself your shadow even escapes you this day and reach out. more dark air empty no resistence resembling nonexistence entirely. can you step outside of the empty moonlight? is there footing? will something someone be there if you fall? do you step out if you can? are you sure you want to? you ask yourself again and again and again. until finally you left your foot and it disappears outside the dimly lit floor and for mere moments there is hope and uncertainty battling to the death for the strength of you heart. meanwhile your weight shifts you feel confident and prepare to lean on that very foot. hope slays uncertainty with a merciless blow to the cranium and with hope the two of you fall right through the empty nonexistent nothing and you're falling ever still thinking that you had hope on your side it's your leg it wouldn't betray my trust was it the lighting was there anything ever there will there ever be anyone there? and you fall.rejection.how would you define it?
