i have seen the sacred been disgraced walked the world stolen the show looked both ways and had nowhere to go i have flown sky high to drop below swam the deepest depth saw which way no one went i watched the old man weep when he spoke to me as he told of ancient things and extended my dreams to include more than what you are to me i have jumped across the lava floor and landed safely on the couch been the first and last to cross the line i have boarded the rockies bought food in st louis been crabbing in virginia surfing in maryland lived on my own taken care of myself i have written great things the public hasn't seen drank more whiskey than water in the sea i have lived within and all around spontaneity dreamt more than done talked more than listened and loved more than one i have jumped from heights that most haven't seen dared to say what all else were thinking been shamed beyond belief i have been harder on me than any other relative acquaintance or friend i have watched the homeless sleep through the car window knowing i had a place for them to go i continued onward home alone i have loved with all of this misunderstood tiny heart that beats to please i have lost great friends to uncurable things misunderstood undenyable dreams i have been stepped on i have returned as if it never happened i have become stronger than one may ever conceive to believe i have lived tough times lonely cold nights and wished upon wishes to end this life
