Awesome, awesome setup. I especially love that Yunho is the scientist and Jaejoong the soldier, because that strikes me as right, yet not how it'd usually be done.

Now I'm all gleefully anticipating how Changmin and Junsu fit in to this.

I, um. May have figured out where they fit in this morning. But if I write this properly, it's going to be long. Are you up for betaing something that will probably need a lot of beating into shape?

Depends on what the timing is, to be honest. I'd love to just say yes, and certainly I can read it and give you input, but a thorough beta requires focus, and I'm not sure how much of that I'll have when. Have you started work on it?

Started yes. Got very far, no. And I'm not the world's fastest writer, or very good with finishing long things. So it may all be a theoretical question, especially with how busy my year is likely to be. I can always make a collaborator on google docs, though, so you can look over it when you have a minute and leave me a note if there's anything major you think needs fixing as I go.

A more leisurely pace should work. My approach to alphaing works in progress is just to comment on the major stuff, anyway, so if that's what you're hoping for, I can work with that.

I don't know? I hope so. That would mean I could actually finish it. But maybe I'll just write the high school teachers AU for Epic Fail, since I have a couple of hundred words of that down too.

See how long it runs, then go from there. *G* I don't think I've ever seen an AU in which all of the boys are high school teachers. I've seen them as students, and a mix of students and teachers (two AU setups that are very popular across fandom, except of course in fandoms where that's the canon). All teachers could be fun.

No kicking! They don't have the padding to keep from bruising.

I'm currently torn between two different directions it could go, one much longer than the other. So far the scenes I've written could apply to either scenario, but I'll have to make a choice soon. As for the teachers, so far only Yoochun, Junsu and Yunho have shown up, but I'm pretty sure that Jaejoong and Changmin are just around the corner. I can drop you a link to all the assorted AUs, if you're curious. (There's also the rather stalled art thief AU that I can't decide whether to finish or not.) And if someone can explain why Yoochun is my default AU muse, I'd be very grateful.

Eh. The bunnies will act as a soft and fuzzy layer to prevent them from too much damage.

Narrowing down all the myriad narrative possibilities to one when writing has always been one of the harder parts of the whole process for me. *G* And I'd love links to all the AUs! Art thieves sounds like a blast (and, uh, goes well with my unwritten assassin AU ;-). Not sure why Yoochun is your default AU muse. Yunho seems to be mine.

Does this mean you have a whole pile of bunnies, then, to protect that many tall boys? *G*

I have enough trouble with my life, let alone my stories. And it's a major reason why I never finish anything original - I get too caught up thinking about the world and the setting and forget all about the plot XD Links coming right up! I think I wrote myself into a corner with the casting in the art thief AU and it's been a month since I worked on it last. Ohwell. I can't quite bring myself to scrap it either. I didn't really expect to have one of them as an AU muse in particular, but I seemed to have settled with Yoochun as default AU PoV and Jaejoong (also slightly baffling) as default canon PoV.

Haha. I have giant mutant killer bunnies. That breed. There's more than enough protection to go around.

Usually, plot is just an excuse to explore the characters and setting, for me. *G*

I've now read the bits you've got so far. Good stuff! I think I see where the art thief thing is an issue, though if the problem is what I think it is, I'm surprised one character pointed another character in the direction of the rest of the characters. To, uh, attempt to be as non-spoilery as possible about it. *G*

I suspect it's that Yoochun tends to go with the flow. I got nothing on the Jaejoong front, though.

Just make sure they're not bunnies with sharp teeth. We don't need them biting the boys.

I don't think spoilers are really an issue. Actually what I think happened was Junsu had some tasty foodstuffs around, and when Yunho asked where they were from, Junsu answered without a pause for thought about whether Yunho would go looking or not. But yes, bigger issues than that. Maybe one day I'll manage to catch you in chat and make you help me figure out a solution :D Also, I think the scifi AU is coming to the end of its first draft, so if you want to take a closer look at it and point out anything that doesn't make sense or needs expanding on, 'twould be very useful.

All I've got is that Jaejoong eats brains. I know I haven't seen mine since he took up residence.

The bunnies have no intention of harming the boys. The boys provide them with much fodder.

You could resolve by having Yunho surrender his newfound agency for a lucrative career in art theft. ;-)

I took a peek at the sf AU this week, but I'll take another look to see if you put in anything more after what I last saw.

Jaejoong the zombie! He'd be thrilled. Mine was nearly a mummy. Ask Eliza.

Maybe you should talk the boys into eating the bunnies.
