Jaejoong's eyes are just brown now, his hair just dyed blond. Junsu's smile isn't blinding, just bright, and his voice carries no more echoes of laughing water. Yoochun watches Jaejoong chase Changmin across the central courtyard as Junsu heckles Jaejoong for being too short to catch Changmin, Jaejoong's shouted threats of great and terrible retribution carrying back easily on the still summer air. Yoochun thinks that, from where he's sitting, they're as beautiful as they've ever been.

This sacrifice, this choice, this love, for this one life.

Together, they finally know what it's like to truly be alive.
