The ball of flame grew in his hand as he watched them lean closer on the couch. It wasn't like Bobby could touch her. Not like John touched him. Just because Bobby was the golden boy, he had to try to make her feel welcome.
His let a small flame land on the sleeve of her shirt. He watched it grow, licking along the fabric before she noticed it and Bobby iced it out.
"John, be careful."
John walked out of the room, not even looking at Rogue as she turned to Bobby. "I don't know why he hates me."
