The mayor again thanked the X-Men for stopping the Brotherhood's attack on Alcatraz. Bobby heard the applause and saw the camera flashes as each of the team stepped forward to receive the letter from the city naming them heroes.
The smile on his face felt forced to him but it seemed genuine staring at him from the next day's paper. Crumpling it in one hand, he froze it then tossed it in the garbage. He wasn't a hero. What kind of hero knocked out their best friend and left them for dead on an island when Phoenix leveled the place?
