Character hate: Hank Landry
I did not like Landry when he was foisted upon us on SG-1.
I did not like Landry in Ark of Truth.
I really did not like Landry in Continuum.
And now I am mainlining SGA and just started Season 3. And lo and behold look who shows up. And guess what? I STILL do not like Landry.
Nothing against Beau Bridges - but I despise, absolutely despise the character.
And don't even get me started on the idea that his daughter is the CMO of the base (and worse that Jack supposedly authorized it.) Just would not happen. First off, she's not military- now I'm not saying that they can't have civilian doctors, but I highly doubt that the Chief Medical Officer of a super secret MILITARY program isn't going to be military. And second, there is no way, no how that they would ever put Landry's DAUGHTER in as someone who has the power to relieve him of command if she feels he is unfit medically. Can anyone say conflict of interest? The ethics of that make me twitch. ::rolls eyes:: Lunacy.
Sorry - my Landry hate knows no bounds.
