Having avidly followed your evil!sam verse all along, knowing what happens in the future - it's almost painful to watch the manipulation.
Yes, Dean does have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to his brother, but I also am privy to info he isn't, which likely magnifies my frustration.
Sam is freaking scary at this point. The mood swings, the aggression, the impatience, smugness, secrecy? Crapola.
Dean really needs to get his stuff together and put his brother down like a dog in misery. Awful but true. Although, Sam's desperation to hold on to his brother - not just in this piece, but throughout armegeddon - speaks volumes about his own dependency on his older brother.
He may be evil, darkside and nasty - but he won't give up on the idea that dean will come around, that he needs dean there, just as Dean keeps holding onto the idea that Sam can change.
You've really done such a great job with this, and I am impressed that even though this is written out of chronological order, you seem to be able to keep the violence of Sam reined in (as it should be at this point.)
Thanks so much! It's always great to hear from an ESU regular! :)
This is a hard piece to read, though, you're right, because you know what comes next and Dean's kind of stumbling into it. I'm glad Sam's intensity and instability came through and you're right, they're both bound up in each other, unable to pull away.
I'm very glad that this piece (and Sam in this piece) worked for you, though. What lovely feedback! :)

Whoa - long comment. In summary - you rock!
