You know how much I love this. I looked for it on sparrabeth, didn't find it, and forgot to check my flist. I am reduced to commenting on what has already been said with such enthusiasm. (I do hope you're listening, and come back to this with any future self-doubt).

This is such a telling portrait of Elizabeth and Will; it isn't what they feel for each other, but what they are together that is fraying. But with Jack, there is the foretold heartbreak of this: "cradle him like seawater in cupped hands until, inevitably, he slides between your fingers, too liquid to hold" paired with the lost promise of "the man that knows who you are becoming... the man that stands your equal." Lyric, lovely blend of poetry and prose. Brava, darling.

It is telling, as well, which side of choice we all fall on. Reading the comments that speak to this is fascinating. You know where I fall in that debate *g*. The well deserved praise along with the passion your work obviously inspires are reflections of your greatness, love. Remember to hold it all close to your heart :)

---Thanks for stopping in to re-read! My post did kind of get lost on Sparrabeth - I have a bad habit of posting 12 seconds before 15 other people post. Karma? Cosmic who-ha? Only time will tell....

--- Oh, thank you so much - for the lovely comment on my style (always eat those up), and for picking up the nuances of what I hope to acheive: showing the beauty and sadness of this sort of no-won situation.

I think my Muse Mongoose is whispering in my ear to write a sequel, but have to return to my long, lost chapter fic before he claws out my eyes. ;)

--- Thank you - a hundred times, thank you. This is in my heart, believe me, and it's no going anywhere. Thank you so much for always being so supportive, and for picking me up when I'm a bit down.

*mouwah and much, much squish*
