Every morning, like clockwork, Patrick got up at 7 am and began getting ready for the day. Pete would wake up at 7:30, take a shower, eat the breakfast Patrick made him, and go to work. Pete kissed Patrick goodbye as he left. He always found it hard to stop kissing Patrick, but he had to or else he would be late for work again. His dad hated it when he was late for work.

“I’ll be back in the afternoon, Patrick,” Pete moaned.

Patrick bit Pete’s neck. “I know. I just want you to remember me all day.”

“Like I could ever forget.”

Patrick smiled into Pete’s neck and pulled back. “There.”

“You left another hickey, didn’t you?”

Patrick just smirked and walked Pete to the door. “What time should I expect you?”

“Around 1:30. I’ll call if I’m going to be late.” Pete kissed his husband one more time and finally left.

Patrick sighed as he closed the door. He hated being separated from Pete all day. He sighed again and pushed off from the door. There was a lot of work to be done.

***********

By the time Pete got home, Patrick had cleaned most of the living room and their bedroom.

“Geez, Patrick. You are a cleaning machine,” Pete said as he walked in. He went over to Patrick, who had been dusting, and kissed him.

“None of that Pete. You need to vacuum,” Patrick replied as he pushed Pete away.

“Aw, but you look so hot right now.”

“Thanks. You still have to vacuum.”

Pete pouted, but went to get the vacuum and change.

***********

Pete had just finished vacuuming the living room and bedrooms, when he collapsed into a chair in the kitchen. He watched as Patrick washed dishes.

“I love those rubber gloves,” Pete said.

“Shut up.”

“No, really. Pink is a good color on you.”

Patrick turned and glared. Pete just smiled at him. Patrick rolled his eyes and went back to the dishes. Pete started at him silently, before getting up and walking over.

“You know, I find it really hot that you are doing dishes,” Pete whispered.

He bent down and nipped at the back of Patrick’s neck. Patrick shuddered.

“Pete, I have to get this done.”

“Do it later.”

Pete pulled Patrick away from the sink and towards their bedroom.

*************

“Pete, we are so far behind! I still have to clean the bathrooms and finish the dishes. And you have to finish the floors and do the windows,” Patrick flailed his arms out as they lay in bed.

Pete caught one arm and pulled Patrick closer to him. “Don’t worry. Although I don’t understand why we have to clean our place for your ex and his new boyfriend.”

“Bob doesn’t think you are taking care of me. And I’ve met Spencer, he would look at our place in disgust.”

Pete scowled. “I take care of you just fine,” he grumbled.

“I know that. But don’t you want to show Bob that you can take care of me?”

“Yes. Let’s go clean!”

Pete leapt out of bed and went into the living room.

“Maybe you should put some clothes on Pete!” Patrick yelled as he got out of bed as well.

**************

Patrick grinned as he let Bob and Spencer into the apartment. Bob grunted his approval as he walked in.

“It looks clean, Wentz. Did you hire a maid?” he asked.

Pete growled at him. “No. Patrick and I cleaned it.”

Spencer walked into the living room. “This is a nice couch. We should get one like it Bob.”

“Maybe,” Bob replied distractedly as he entered the kitchen.

Spencer scowled and plopped down on the couch. Pete smiled at the younger man and Patrick rolled his eyes.

“Hey Bob, you better pay attention to your boyfriend. I don’t know if you are taking care of him well enough,” Pete said mildly as he sat next to Spencer.

Patrick laughed out loud as Bob exited the kitchen, sat on the other side of Spencer and pulled him closer.

“You look after your husband and I’ll look after Spencer,” Bob huffed.

Spencer snuggled closer to Bob and winked at Patrick. Patrick smiled back as he was pulled onto Pete’s lap. Spencer always did have the best plans.
