"Your just a kid. You can't have free reign of the city. No matter how much you might want it." Fin reached for the young boy's shoulder, causing him to jump back adding a few steps.
"I'm not going with you! I do just fine on my own." Fin smiles, knowing better to try approach closer, out of the direct street light the boy's bruises almost vanished completely.
"Oh I am sure you do. What was your name again?" The child stays still and quiet sizing the stranger up, deciding to trust or not. "Like I told you my name is Fin and over there thats Munch." The boy turns to the one who first approached him, but now waited a few feet back, he waves.
"I hope those are your last names." Fin laughs.
"Yeah. Well for him it is, but mine is a nickname." The child takes a step forward.
"What short for dolphin?"
"Nah. I'll tell you what, if you tell me your name, I'll tell you mine." He thinks, heart pounding, could he trust?
