It's that time of year again, NaNoWriMo!

Is anyone planning to participate in National Novel Writing Month? This is the first year since I joined where I won't be able to because of grad school. Bummers

I'm doing it!

It's as good an excuse as any to write out this story that's been slamming around in my head since 2007.

Yay! What's your story about?

Basically the story is about a young man named Rafael Thompson, or Rafe. He's on the side of the villains via blackmail/protection scam and is an angstbucket and a ragekitten. While the story spins off to include other folks -- including a god-touched girl and a woman possessed by ghosts (long story but she's awesome) -- it really chronicles his fall to darkest despair and how he clawed his way out of it.

Also there's magic and stuff. :D

Honestly, I don't know. I mean, I'm not intentionally writing for young adults, but I'm not really aiming it towards any one group. I guess it could be considered YA since I'm probably not even going to have fade-to-black sex.
