Hi all! I'm your non-superhero sub for
confusedkayt this week. Greetings, especially those woeful souls like me who are not Writercon-bound just now (sobs). How's the writing going? I very nearly had nothing to report, but just squeaked in a
still_grrr drabble to break the dry spell. How about you - are the holidays inspirational or distracting?
On to our topic this week: supporting characters. Do we love them? Do they get in the way of the action? How many is too many? How much does that depend on type of fic - length plays an obvious part, but how about angst vs comedy? Any special loves/hates: do you just detest comic-best-friends or mysterious prophets?
And, even if your answer to all of the above is 'it depends', what's your personal preference in reading and writing? X and Y alone against the world/X and Y at the heart of a community/Just X, thx?

I'm based in the UK, and sadly restricted in online time. If I don't respond to your comment tonight, it'll probably be tomorrow evening GMT before I can get to it. But get to it I shall. I may not be a superhero, but boy can I do paperwork! Especially fun paperwork like this *g*
