If people can stand the time difference problem (GMT+1 here and if anything comes in overnight my time I probably won't be able to pick it up until next evening) I'd like to discuss supporting characters. How many is too many? How far does it depend on the type of fic? Do you prefer writing or reading X and Y alone in a hostile world, and/or X and Y in the heart of a buzzing community?

That kind of thing...

Oh, man. You are so totally a lifesaver! You're on for next Wednesday, any old time. That sounds like a great topic, and I'm totally excited to see who falls where. Don't worry about the timing thing - clearly, we're pretty loose here, timing-wise. :D

Yay! You are totally the best! Why don't you go ahead and post an open thread (feel free to make a themed discussion if you want to) not this coming wednesday (where bruttamabuoni has us covered), but the next.
