Alex has inspired me to finish this, so here's a little something for ya.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
Part 1
All through the night he quickly traveled
His mind a mystery, slowly unraveled.
Would he make it there in time?
How would he bust this bind?
Speeding quickly down the road,
Seeing it, his car had slowed.
No one could ignore that sight,
The cause of unseemly fright.
Is there where he was ment to be?
Is this was he was ment to see?
Out of his car he rapidly ran,
To see if she would see this man.
How do you stop what you do not control?
Amazing how fast life can take its toll.
Faster in the darkness he did go,
Only to find the answer was no.
Back to his car was the path for him.
To give his confidence a little trim.
He was not the one for her,
He was forced to be the other.
Off to the bar to find a friend,
To make a great beginning of this bad end.
"I'll take a cold one" he did say.
And left the saddness for another day.
Part 2
"Got a light?" She said to he.
"I just might, but you didn't get it from me."
All night long the chat went on,
And then the jukebox played her favorite song.
"Care to dance? I'm not to bad."
He sprang up, forgetting he was sad.
The whole world stopped and looked at the two.
Nothing else seemed to want to move.
"You know your stuff" She said witha grin.
"I'm pretty good, I learned from kin."
All night long, magic ruled,
And it seemed as if the air were cooled.
The cab arrived, and he went home,
But first he got her telephone.
When the sun came up, he was seeing stars,
For he was sitting in his car.
He'd never moved nor danced a dance.
He'd never run and never pranced.
But then as the moon began to taper,
He found a number on a peice of paper.
