Title: Cuddled up with you
Fandom: Snowman
Pairing: Sakuma/Meguro
Rating: PG?
Summary: Meguro's got a bit of a crush, and wants to cuddle.
A/N: Something quick and cute (at least I hope it's cute >.>) I believe my turn ends Team Two until the reshuffle so no tagging I guess lol.
One of them was going to figure it out. Meguro was sure that the rest of the members of Snowman were at least partly aware that the way he looked at Sakuma wasn’t just for show. He could never tell if the older male was ever serious with anyone, as he seemed comfortable contorting himself around just about everyone in the group. Meguro had been a little worried when he saw some of the interactions between Sakuma and Iwamoto, as they sometimes didn’t seem to be just playing around. Iwamoto had read him like a book, however, and was to his knowledge, the only one who had called him out on his crush.
“Sakuma is like that with everyone. It’s true that the six of us have all…well been together before. But, it’s nothing like being exclusive.” Iwamoto had been blushing bright red when he pulled Meguro aside and informed him of all of this. It always amazed Meguro, how Iwamoto could look so cool and tough, but, be so soft and gentle in reality.
It made Meguro wonder if he wanted exclusivity. He wasn’t sure of the answer to that. The older members of Snowman had accepted the three new members with open arms, but they hadn’t done anything other than hug them and encourage them. It wasn’t a secret that Snowman had done things together, and the rumors were that all six of them had crossed the line a few times. So, it wasn’t shocking for Meguro to hear that it was true.
Koji was the second person who had noticed something seemed amiss. “I expect Shota to be tsundere and cold towards me sometimes, but not so much you. What’s up?”
Meguro was a bit startled by the accusation, he hadn’t meant to be cold towards Koji, but when his mind was focused on other things, he had an unfortunate habit of forgetting about the things he used to focus on. “I didn’t mean to…I guess I’ve got it worse than I thought,” Before Koji could open his mouth to talk about what exactly Meguro had, he continued. “I think I’ve got a crush on Sakuma.”
Koji blinked at Meguro, a bit startled. “You think?”
“I guess I know. I don’t really know if I want to actually date him or anything, I just know that I’m distracted by him, and…” He was going to say more, but Sakuma had trotted over to them, Raul and Shota in tow.
“Meme~” Sakuma grinned up at him, and Meguro felt his knees grow weak. Koji watched him for a moment, before he shrugged his shoulders and gave Meguro a squeeze on the shoulder. Meguro offered Koji a smile before he let himself get distracted by Sakuma talking excitedly about the upcoming performances.
As the days turned to weeks, Meguro started to become annoyed by his own feelings. He kept getting distracted by Sakuma at every turn. It seemed everyone else had figured out his feelings, except the one person who mattered. Not that Meguro hid it if anyone asked, he just couldn’t bring himself to tell Sakuma.
He was exhausted by his own feelings, and more than anything, he just wanted to curl up with something warm and soft and sleep. He had been in a rather sour mood most of the day, so he wasn’t surprised when during their two-hour break, the other members vanished from him. He entered their dressing room and hoped he could nap for a bit, and improve his mood. He was surprised when he entered to find Sakuma on the long couch, it was still hot outside, but the inside of their dressing room was always freezing so he wore an oversized hoodie on his thin frame. He had a manga in his hands and seemed to be happily reading.
It took a minute for Sakuma to notice him, a bright smile appeared on his face. He moved from lounging across the couch length to curled up in one corner and tapped the spot next to him, clearly, he wanted Meguro to join him. After a moment of biting his lower lip, Meguro sat down next to Sakuma, who grinned from ear to ear at him before he went back to reading. Meguro wasn’t the type to not say what was on his mind, but at the same time, he was afraid to say it.
Sakuma looked at him from the side before he put the book away and tilted his head. “What’s wrong Meme? You’ve been acting strange lately…you can always talk to me?” Sakuma was usually so happy and crazy, there were times that Meguro forgot that the other boy was 5 years older than him. But, at times like this, when he was smiling encouragingly and trying his best to be patient Meguro realized it.
He had had enough of his feelings and thinking about it wasn’t going to solve anything. “I’m really tired, and I kinda want to cuddle with someone. But not just anyone, though I’m sure some of the others would be willing, but lately, you’re all that’s on my mind.”
Sakuma started to laugh, which wasn’t what Meguro had expected from his confession, but he decided to wait and see what the other would say before he jumped to any new conclusions. “Come here,” Sakuma moved so that he was laying across the couch, one of his legs snuck it’s way behind Meguro’s back. He propped himself up using one of the large pillows they had and looked at him expectantly.
Meguro took a beat before he carefully moved. He hadn’t expected this, but he wasn’t going to say no either. His head hit Sakuma’s chest and he could hear the beating of his heart. It was relaxing and even though he had some questions, Sakuma’s fingers ran through his hair absently as he settled down and read.
The next thing he knew Sakuma was gently shaking him, He opened his eyes and panicked for a moment before he remembered that Sakuma had asked him to crawl on top of him. “Sorry, I thought I should wake you with enough time to get your bearings before we go to the next thing.”
Sakuma was warm, and his smell was comforting. Meguro found himself settling back down against his chest. “Thank you, why haven’t you asked me about my confession, or even really answered?” He was too tired to watch what he said, but he didn’t regret asking.
Sakuma hummed and put his book on the floor, done with it. “Well, you looked really tired so I thought you should sleep first. But I guess my answer was to have you in my arms? I don’t know how exclusive I can be though,” Sakuma had turned a bit red, but at least he was honest.
“I don’t mind that, actually I don’t know how exclusive I can be either. I haven’t really gotten that far, I pretty much only got to the part where I figured out that I liked you. Everything else is pretty much unknown still.” Meguro yawned and nuzzled into Sakuma’s warmth. The older boy wrapped his arms around him and kissed the top of his forehead. It felt good, so Meguro arched his head for more, which Sakuma gladly obliged.
