So dusk037 ran out of time and wailed to me because she ran out of time when she knew what she wanted to write for this so I told her to write it anyway 8D;;

Pandora Hearts AU which as nothing to do with crazy_otaku911's Pandora Hearts AU, although it seems to feature the same characters orz I may have aggravated omoikkiri with my indecision about which one to post because there are two of them for the previous prompt (which I shall link to when I post it! Here you go!)

The Chain blinked, golden eyes disappearing for a split second before it flickered back into view.
"What do you want with me, little one?" it asked, its voice rumbling in the darkness of the Abyss.
Yamamoto faltered, not at all sure what to say.
It had been a crazy idea to begin with - thinking of contracting a Chain - but he could think of no other way of doing what he wanted to do without one. There was nothing for it, then.
"I -"
"Ah, I see…" Now the chain sounded vaguely amused.
Suddenly, the Chain was right in Yamamoto's face, so close that even through the gloom Yamamoto could see it - no, him - smirk.
"There's no need to be afraid, little one," the Chain purred, and the sound sent a shiver up Yamamoto's spine. "I'll take good care of you."
