First word from Wedding Bells?!.
"Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!"
The chant rang all around the playground and Liyin wished the gravelly ground beneath her feet would just open and swallow her up. Goodness, this was so embarrassing!!
Standing opposite her was the little boy who had caused the commotion in the first place. Tiny, babyfaced Jongdae from four classes below her; cute, squishy-cheeked Jongdae who, at their very first meeting, had declared to anyone who would listen that she was the prettiest person he had ever met in his who life so far, except for his mother.
Precious, honest Jongdae who had, without an ounce of hesitation, told an entire playground full of children that yes, he does really, really like Liyin-noona and yes, he wouldn't mind kissing her if she let him.
So here they were, standing in the middle of the playground and surrounded by all the other children who chanted at them teasingly.
Liyin doesn't know what to do, or what to make of the expression on the boy's face that is equal parts shy and excited. All she knew that if she let him, he would be more than happy to step forward and kiss her.
Thankfully, the lady in charge of keeping order on the playground that day came over just then, drawn over by the noises everyone around them are making, and soon the crowd was going their own way.
Liyin leaves too, careful not to think too much of the look of disappointment that flashes across Jongdae's face before he ran off to find his friends.
