"Good riddance, you nutcase."
Nino grabbed his designated peanut tupperware container and tossed it none too gently into the growing pile in front of him that, after a stifled chuckle to himself, he'd deemed his "discard pile".
"Kazu." A stern voice echoed from the living room. Nino grinned sheepishly and returned to the task in front of him, humming to himself as he determined which of his old friends would stay and which would go. The shuffle of footsteps slipped out of ear shot, doubtless into one of the other rooms that needed some tender loving care. As spartan as Nino was, he accumulated a surprising amount of crap that needed to be sorted, a project no one enjoyed but he had no choice but to struggle through.
Digging around in the drawer he'd brought with him to the kitchen floor, he considered a long lost spatula with narrowed eyes. They'd found it one day when Jun surprised him with a trip to a Daiso instead of the high-end furniture store he'd circled on their shopping map. It had been one of their first moments of compromise after they'd started dating.
"It's a good thing I love you," Nino called, setting the spatula next to him in the pile accompanying them to their new apartment together.
From the depths of the bathroom, Nino could hear a happy kind of snort.
Go ahead,
