“…then,” Otilla told the skull, “we all lived happily every after.”
“But what about-?” the skull began, but Otilla interrupted him, even as the thoughts swam up in her head, don’t think about […], don’t think about it.
“This is my home now,” Otilla said, and she meant it.
Notes: The title is a play on We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. This was also written for the 3-sentence fic prompt for
