While writing this I had the horrible realization that sometimes Azul sounds a lot like Atobe (if Atobe were also a devious businessman). Twisted Wonderland, gen, 300w.
Unfolding the invitation, Azul took a moment to appreciate the weight and texture of the paper. He'd hesitated over the extra cost, but now that he held it in his hands, he was certain it had been the correct decision. The handmade paper had a certain tooth to it, and a nice thickness that highlighted the letterpress printing. Jade and Floyd had tracked ink around the dorm for the past week preparing everything, but again the effect was worth it. Automated printing and mass-production just couldn't compare to a personal touch, and Mostro Lounge prided itself on the personal touch, especially for VIP events.
He took a moment to admire Jade's handiwork in the header of each invitation. Who knew a handful of mushrooms could be so convincingly turned into stamps of sea anemones and corals? Not that Azul would say as much, of course; Jade had already spent an unhealthy amount of time out foraging the past couple of weeks. If the trend continued, Azul would need to have a stern word with him, and possibly Vil, about proper moisturizing regimens for sea creatures traipsing about on land.
Speaking of Vil, where was his invitation? Azul rifled through the stack until he found the card for the head of Pomefiore. Just one final touch for that one. Azul took a small perfume bottle from his desk and spritzed it lightly over the card. A handful of pressed rose petals joined the card in its envelope, and then that invitation was complete. Such an effect would be utterly lost on someone like Leona, but a successful businessman learned to read his audience. The extra effort was worth it, if it captured his desired audience.
