"Andrea did these?"
"Yep." Lily nodded.
"Just since she was here for lunch?"
"Uh huh."
Miranda said nothing else, just continued to stare down at the sketch. "She's good, huh?" Lily asked with a small grin, before heading out of the study.
"Very good." Miranda replied to the now empty room. This scene was just very comical to me and I couldn't not repost it. I could imagine Miranda's utter astonishment at having so many beautiful sketches in such a small amount of time, perfectly. (smile)

"I wish…" Andy whispered, but then trailed off.
"What, Andrea? What do you wish?" Maybe she was just imagining it, but Miranda's voice sounded different… wistful maybe. Or probably exhausted from her long day.
Andy swallowed hard. "I wish you were here. To see the exhibit." She tacked on quickly at the end. I sighed as I read this. It's really sad that Miranda isn't there for the showing and heartbreaking to then read Andy's breakdown in Doug's arms afterwards.

"I hate to break this to you, Miranda, but no matter what we do, we will never have pictures that come out looking like this."
He tossed the sketches onto the table, and Miranda nearly stopped breathing when it looked as though they might slide into the food. Luckily, they stopped short of it. "They're too perfect. The clothes don't even look that good in real life. Sorry darling, but if you want pictures as good as this, you're going to have to print those in the magazine."
He left without another word. Miranda gathered the sketches up and moved to place them with the other sketches Andrea had done, tucked into the back of Coco Chanel's sketchbook. They seemed to fit there. The fact that she keeps them with Coco's sketches is brilliant and such a touching/symbolic representation. The fact that I thought she should put the sketches in the magazine as well before Nigel mentioned it, made me snicker a little bit.

"Wait a minute, bought? Bought with what?"
"There's this thing, and it's green and made of paper and it's called money," Cassidy began teasingly. I couldn't help the bubbling laughter after reading that line.

I'm glad that the showing is doing so well. Andy deserves the attention if she's as good as I imagine her being.

I don't really know how to describe how much I am in love with this story, its universe and the character interactions. I loved the fact that Andy's not with anyone and the person waking her up in the mornings was actually Doug. I love how Andy is a complete wreck when talking to Miranda and how she actually went on a walk with the editrix herself through Central Park with Coco. It's all wonderful. The way you've written this is just superb!
