There are lovers everywhere. Romance abounds, and on this day, of all days, how can she not think of him?
She walks across the park and avoids the loving couples making out in the dark corners. It hurts to see others so cherished, and know she can’t be with her own love. Her friends think she’s moved on, but they must know it’s a lie. She misses him still, and she wonders if it’s her destiny to be alone forever. Is that what it means to be a slayer? She sighs. Tonight, she just wants to be a normal girl.
