Q is getting increasingly frustrated that he's lost Bond, until he realises why.

Alert! Alert!
Q tries to hide his panic. He shouldn't be hearing that noise. He should be hearing a constant bleep and seeing a flashing light. The lack of these means he's lost the agent he was supposed to be tracking.
All thoughts flash though Q's mind. He knows Bond's job; knows the dangers. Anything could have happened. He tries to scan the CCTV around the area where Bond's tracker last sent it's signal. The lack of results only served to stress and upset him further.
He leans over his computer space and lets out a sigh. It does little to relieve his panic. He mumbles where are you Bond as he tries and retries to find any trace of his lover.
"Come on!" he almost shouts, banging a hand down on his desk.
He gives up. With his head in his hand, he tries to clam. He reminds himself he's at work and he must keep it professional. He promised himself, Bond and M that his relationship with the agent wouldn't affect his work. Now his worst nightmare had been realised.
A beep not only lit up his computer screen but also his face.
Bond.
He wants to scold Bond, wants to shout and yell. He wants to ask where Bond's been.
"Q" Bond says so casually.
"Bond," Q says simply. "Where have you been?" he adds in hiss.
"Q," Bond still sounds cheery, and it angers Q further. "You don't want to listen to that."
"I need to keep track of you-" Q tries to keep it professional.
"Not. . . Not during-"
"Yes. Even during. . . I was so worried." Q changes tactic.
"Q," Bond sighs. "I'm sorry. I-"
"James. . ." Q sighs, "I don't mind. Honestly. It's your job, and you can make it up to me!"
Q smiles, as he hears James giggle.
