When it finally registered they had left him alone Obi-Wan opened his eyes. His surprise at discovering the passage of time caused him to relax his already tenuous control and pain flooded though his body. It was now the reality of the damage the tortures had done to his body came to light.
Unwelcome tears streamed down his face as he looked to the stars, their twinkling helped him focus so he could concentrate on the force again. He had to be ready when they came back. He couldn't show a reaction to the torture they were putting him through.
