Sheew!! :) It has been about...well, almost FOREVER since I have written you. So I thought I would pop up and say HELLO!
Chris and I left Saturday, Aug 18 to go to Williamsburg, VA. WE had a really good time. We were able to go to MANY different places, we were really busy for a "vacation", but it was nice not to be completely bored!! I am sore from walking around, running, and climbing a crazy amount of stairs! I am going to "rate" everything! 1 stars - 5 stars! :)

Williamsburg, VA
The actual site is a cute little town. As you step foot in another world and time period. Walking long distances to try to cover this town will take a little time. A pretty big town, a lot of it is restored to the way it "use" to be, some of it is more modernized. They have an amazing Toy making shop, and also the best ever, Candy store. Every kind of candy you can think of. Millions of people walking around in 18-century attire, and most England accented. You encounter many different people from all over the world, many from England, France, China, Japan, Korea...MANY more I am sure! You get to see a lot of OLD buildings learn about the way things use to be done. Some things you see here, you really get to understand that some things would have been better if kept in this condition or that way of life. The cooking looked and smelled so great and it was all made there in the old timey ovens and things. GREAT! If you are really into history this is the place to get very knowledgeable about the past. I have learned quite a bit. Although, I am not a history fan; some of it was VERY VERY interesting! Touring the Palace, seeing a parade, and going on tours! Pretty cool.

Yorktown, VA and Jamestown, VA
Yorktown was pretty good as well, very knowledgeable. Not so much olden days....but still very good for you history nerds :) I am getting Yorktown and Jamestown mixed up....Ok, so I put them together. A lot of cool things here too. You get to experience a cannon going off, and tour 3 ships/boats, and villages, Indian villages. View A lot of museums and videos. It is pretty cool too.

GHOST TOURS
WILLIAMSBURG, VA
Weather seemed perfect for a nice ghost story, the strong winds, rain, and lightning. I would have really enjoyed it more if I weren't OUTSIDE in the lightning, I HATE/FEAR lightning. The storm kept growing worse and worse. After being through the storm for a while, during the stories. We were finished and had to get to our car, we were unfamiliar with the area (obviously), and it was really dark out, plus the rain and lightning. We had to run to our car, RUNNING, SOAKED; there was not a dry spot on me!!!! I FEAR lightning, so when we were running, not to mention surrounded by trees, chances are you are going be under a tree and not to mention the rain was falling so hard and so fast and so much of it, a lot of the streets and certain areas were PUDDLE CITY.... So me, being afraid of lightning, walking in/through puddles of water that covers half way to the top of your shoe, and then under trees and the lightning was everywhere and thunder... It was one of those FACE your fears. You really have no option. As freaked out as I was. It was a lot of fun. I have never in my life ran as hard as I did then!! I am STILL sore from that experience alone I think. But even though I really couldn't enjoy a lot of the ghost stories because I was scared and not paying attention because my fears...In the end, I have never laughed so much when we got back to the car, it was a race, a treasure hunt!! Both Chris and I drenched from head to toe...it was really funny after I was in the "safety" of my car! It was funny, kind of romantic in a weird way. :)

Presidents Park, VA (Williamsburg, I think) VA
This was a really cool park!! It had HUGE statues of all the presidents, and a lot of really cool information! I liked this the most out of the whole HISTORY thing I think. It was a “go at your own pace” and really enjoy it, I learned a lot about our old presidents and really cool facts about history. It was fun :)

Water Country USA (Williamsburg, VA)
This was SUPER SUPER fun!!! A wave pool with lots of slides! Luckily we went during the week PLUS it was kind of gloomy outside, so not a whole lot of people went. IT WAS GREAT! There wasn't long waits for anything. WE could easily get onto a ride, we probably waited 10 minutes the most for a ride!! A lot of different adventures! The only bummer is, it doesn't take too long for you to travel through every ride, plus a FEW times more.... this is an awesome place for kids, they had like 3 different areas/slides just for the youngsters, it was super cool, I think that is DEFINITELY a place to take the kids! :) Loved it! :)
One of my funniest times this week was here!!! :) Not to mention I got to get a YUMMY FUNNEL cake :) YAY!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (Williamsburg, VA)
REALLY cool!! I am MORE interested in this than any thing!!! The exhibits seemed to never end!!! It was very interesting...I mean it is Ripley's, why wouldn't it be interesting!? :) We got to go through crazy tunnels, and do hands on things. We got to experience two short 4-d movies! They were REALLY cool!!!! I LOVED this too! :)
We went to so many places I am trying to see if I got them all.....
But if I didn't the trip overall was *******! :) YAY! It was a good little trip! Although we did have a friend in our hotel, a little cricket, that about drove us crazy at night.... :) But it was great!! :) It was pretty cool to see cable for that long period! :) I got to watch all the cool baby shows I love! A lot of Bill Cosby, and of course Funniest Home Videos :)A little bit of Seinfield!
People in VA do not know how to walk across the street though. They seem to want to get hit by traffic :) That drove me crazy and made me uneasy about going anywhere late at night because it was dark and you could barely see them. Crazy!
It was a good trip....bummer I have to go to work tomorrow :( :(! But I am off Sun. and Mon. So that makes the next two days not SO bad :)
I don't think I have much more to say.....
So, if you want to see pictures you have to go to MYSPACE.com/Writerofdreams
:)
Love you all!
