Posi-tober 27

Did a little trial run for NaNoWriMo this evening. Once dinner was over, I set my timer for 30 minutes just to see what I could accomplish in that short time frame. Even with my compulsive use of the backspace key and some arguing with autocorrect (I may need to disable that for the month), I came up with 750 words. This is 750 words of original fiction, and I could have easily kept going. It is going to be such a struggle to keep my inner editor at bay, to allow myself to write "{insert information here}" rather than look stuff up, but I'm really looking forward to this. I don't have nearly as much outline as I'd like, but I'm not going to sweat it. 750 is not nearly the 2500 it will need to be next week, but it's a start.

Are we getting ready?

thankfulness, nanowrimo
